After surgery, many patients need extra support once they arrive home. Our aftercare specialists are trained specifically in plastic surgery post-operative care, with a high level of care and compassion.
Your aftercare specialist will help get you settled comfortably at home and make sure you are recovering in the right position for optimum healing.
Immediately after arriving home, they will offer you some food to help prevent nausea, chart your prescribed medications for pain management, and help you throughout the night so you can rest. (Additional nights can be set up if needed.)
During their stay, your aftercare specialist will assist with monitoring drain out-put, mobility, using the restroom, and assisting you with dressing and showering if needed.
Essentially our specialists are the eyes and ears of the doctor for the first 24 hours after surgery. They will communicate directly with the surgeon in case of concern or emergency. They will also help instruct your family member or caregiver on how to care for you once they leave.
